"You can only create as much as you're willing to destroy." The echo of an old lesson echoed in my head.
I just created a new vision board for 2018, and there’s a lot that I want to accomplish this year. As such, I knew it was time to let go of previous vision boards — old, outdated ideas of what I wanted my life to look like.
Again, that lesson echoed: “You can only create as much as you’re willing to destroy.”
I was feeling nostalgic and trying to think of every excuse in the book to keep these old dreams… but I knew it was time to let them go.
So, today, with some encouragement of an old lesson, I destroyed 2 vision boards to make way for a new vision. A new goal. A new creation. And as I sit here, staring at a pile of cut-up vision boards, I feel relief: relief that I don’t have to carry on aiming for things I no longer want or need. And I feel a sense of freedom — permission to move forward.
What do you want to create as you move forward with 2018?
Is there anything you need to destroy in order to create that vision? If so, I challenge you to do that this week. And share your story (seriously, Facebook me)! I’d love to celebrate your pathway to newness.
